Staying healthy is not just about eating well and moving your body - we need to take care of our minds, too. An average brain has anywhere between 25,000 and 50,000 thoughts per day. We are constantly thinking, even when we don't realize it. To stay focused, clear, energized, and healthy, our brains need to learn how to take a break.
Join us for an afternoon of guided meditation, and learn how you can apply meditation tools and techniques learned during the workshop into your daily life, whether you're exploring a meditation practice for the first time or looking to deepen your current practice.
This workshop is for all levels, no meditation experience required. Please expect some light movement to prepare your body, followed by a discussion on logistics (how to sit, what to do and what not to do). Come prepared with questions - there will be a lot of discussion based around what you would like to learn!
Participants are encouraged to bring a journal or notebook, a yoga mat, and a favorite meditation pillow if you have one (not required).
All levels welcome - $20 members | $25 non-members. Pre-registration is required.
